Trucking Magazine March 2010
What a write up !!!!
Check out the March 2010 edition of the "Trucking" magazine, it has an excellant article on the British Commerical Vehicle show which was held at the Leyland museum in Lancashire last August. There are five pages of great ERF's.
I am also realiably informed that that a magazine called "Vintage Spirit" also has a good write up so if you get the opportunity try to track down a copy.

Is there anyone out there who would like to share their pictures of ERF's with us or perhaps you have an unusual story which you would like to share?
If so, please contact Jill our Website Support Officer with your information, her contact details can be found on our Committee page.
REVS Social
Well having just got back from the Social at The Talbot Hotel in Oundle I must say that the weekend was a complete success thanks to everyone that attended. The hotel went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible and no one admitted to seeing any strange goings on, being in mind the hotel is believed by some to be haunted.
Our sincere thanks go to Mr Bill Howard of P. C. Howard Limited who stepped in at the last moment as our speaker, his very entertaining talk about his family and the life and times of his company was very interesting and too be honest a lot of us could have listened to him all night, in fact some of us were still talking about him at breakfast the following morning, I just wonder if he ever got that sock back? P. C. Howard Limited still run some 95 vehicles of which approximately a third are still ERF's. Also a big thank you to his wife Linda who also attended along with one of his son's Lucas who works in the garage at P. C. Howard's and his wife Paula.
Again, a huge thank you to all of the members that attended I believe that everyone has had a most enjoyable weekend.
I would like to wish Chris a speedy recovery and yes we did miss you.
Jill

Gaydon 2009
As always Gaydon turned out to be a spectacular event with a waiting list for some who wanted to turn up with their units.
The REVS unit and trailer turned up on the Friday night after being bought over from Northamptonshire by Jim Sardeson, REVS member and partner of our Website Designer Jill. Many thanks to Jim who took the day off work to wash and polish both the unit and trailer for us and what a brilliant job he did for us. (It was as good as his EC11 - Lady J which he drives every day)
On arrival REVS committee members Philip Hilditch, John Heath, Ian Moxon, Jill Williams and Jim Sardeson met up for a cup of tea before heading off to bed before the start of a long weekend.
Saturday morning started with an early rise with Ian Moxon, Jim Sardeson and Jill Williams setting up the trailer with everything running before we were joined by fellow committee members.
ERF's had been arriving since early morning and by lunch time we were getting pretty full up and what a great sight it made.
The Carrington Steam & Tractor Rally - 24th & 25th May 2009
The Carrington Steam & Vintage Society had very kindly invited us to attend their 50th Anniversary celebrations during the late May bank holiday weekend and dedicated the commercial section to ERF's and with this being REVS 21st anniversary year this was an event not to be missed especially as it was an event that most of us had not been to before.
The weather was a lot kinder to us than it had been at Belvoir and the sun shone all weekend.
Many vintage commercials attended along with 38 steam engines and over 200 tractors and the sound of music filled the air all day long, along with the smoke from the steam engines which at times was a little too much to cope with as we were all covered in tiny black particles of soot.
The newly refurbished REVS unit and trailer was in attendance all weekend with members of the committee selling some great new 21st Anniversary merchandise.
The trophy for the best commerical vehicle was awarded to Nigel Addy a REVS committee member.
Belvoir Castle Steam Fair 16th - 17th May
The Belvoir Steam & Traction event on the 16th & 17th May was the usual scene for this event, very wet and windy but despite the dreadful weather conditions many members managed to get to the event and most had a good time despite the weather. One thing you must always remember for Belvoir is your wellies, you are guaranteed to have to wear them at some point.
Special thanks to Nick Hibbert for marshalling throughout the weekend and who was the section leader for the heavy commercial vehicles and as always did a splendid job.
This event is certainly making it's mark as a firm gathering for ERF's in the East and Midlands. Lets hope that next year will be bigger and better and perhaps the weather might even be kind to us !!!
Truckfest 2009
It was good to still see so many ERF's at Truckfest Peterborough which was held over the May bank holiday weekend. A small number of these were also to be seen on the Saturday night in the light show.
A few REVS members took along their units so please go to our gallery page to see some great pictures. I would like to thank Michael Addy for sending in so many great pictures for us to see.

Sandbach 2009
Members of the REVS Committee attended this event along with other members who came along to look at some great vehicles. The newly refurbished REVS unit and trailer were in attendance and looked stunning. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
